Commentary

The Prophet is commanded to declare that knowledge of the Hour belongs only to Allah. No prophet or angel knows its timing. The verse shifts focus away from speculation about the exact knowledge of when the hour will occur towards moral readiness and heeding the warning given by Allah before it’s too late. The Prophet’s role is to warn, not to predict.

Guidance 

The knowledge of the hour has been retained only by Allah, as a mercy and as part of His wisdom. We are not tasked to know when the hour will occur, but rather what we have prepared for it. This is what the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised the man in the following Hadith:

A man asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about the Hour (i.e., Day of Judgment), saying, "When will the Hour be?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "What have you prepared for it?" (Sahih al-Bukhari 6171) 

The Prophet (peace be upon him) redirected the questioner’s mindset toward what truly matters: preparing for the Hour. Make this a habitual question you ask yourself as well.
