فَلَمَّا
رَأَوۡهُ
عَارِضٗا
مُّسۡتَقۡبِلَ
أَوۡدِيَتِهِمۡ
قَالُواْ
هَٰذَا
عَارِضٞ
مُّمۡطِرُنَاۚ
بَلۡ
هُوَ
مَا
ٱسۡتَعۡجَلۡتُم
بِهِۦۖ
رِيحٞ
فِيهَا
عَذَابٌ
أَلِيمٞ

و چون آن [عذاب] را كه به صورت ابرى در جهت [دشت و] درهها[ى حاصلخیز]شان پیش مىآمد، مشاهده كردند، [با شادمانی] گفتند: «این ابرى است كه [رحمت] بر ما مىبارد»؛ [هود گفت: «نه،] بلكه همان [عذابى] است كه براى رسیدنش شتاب داشتید؛ تندبادى است که عذابى دردناک با خود دارد.
